My beloved cousin, Chanda Rogers, died tragically in a car accident in 1991 when she was 18. A while back, an old friend from Clark County, Lee Barker, sent me a message prompting me to write a song about her. For years, I had wanted to write a song about her, but she was such a wonderful and beautiful human being that I could never come close to capturing her life in song. The words Lee used in his message to me captured her beauty perfectly and I used them as the core of the song. Thanks Lee.
